Character Age: 19
Info: His page, his past, and if you really want to get into the weeds the other big event he was part of that for some reason they don't include on his wiki page.
Character Orientation: Gay/only attracted to men
Are you/this character open to an OT3?: For an actual relationship? No, he wouldn't be. For the game itself and who they randomly decide for him? I don't think he'd care. I'm personally up for whatever is easiest.
Personality: Determined: After a lifetime of being literally locked up in an ivory tower, Ebenholz has fought tooth and nail to be allowed to make his own choices, and is aggressive in his pursuit to see them through to the end.
Just: Despite being raised as a noble with a title and theoretical privilege, Ebenholz finds the way other nobles revel in class discrimination to be disgusting, and is one of the few nobles of his nation to spit on the idea that wealth and power somehow makes you a better person. If anything, he thinks it makes a person worse.
Quick witted: Ebenholz can and has been tricked before, but he can often puzzle together an opaque situation on his own with enough clues in hand.
Abrasive: While he can be subdued and polite when trying to keep his distance from people, when any emotion sparks in him, it will often get served with a side of biting words and prickly behavior.
Reckless: Ebenholz has less regard for his own well-being than he should have, and a tendency towards risky behavior, especially when that behavior will potentially benefit innocent people while theoretically only hurting himself.
Distrusting: Spending a lifetime of being used and experimented on has not left Ebenholz the most open and trusting of people, though a genuine and earnest seeming personality seems to slip under his defenses faster than most.
Any Additional Info: So he... may or may not have a horrible and eventually fatal disease called Oripathy. When I played the last round of puppycrush with Lessing, the wish he had at the end was to cure Ebenholz's Oripathy. Depending how you want to roll with a continued canon universe, Ebenholz can either be free of his disease, or still have it. I'm genuinely fine playing it either way. Just let me know!
1. Do you have a preference on type of relationship?
M/M for him. While he would be perfectly content for the sake of the show to be partnered with a girl despite knowing they are not actually a perfect match, I imagine the producers would want to put him with another boy.
2. What sort of relationship does your character want?
I think Ebenholz would really struggle to give a proper answer to this question. The one thing he could say for sure is he wants someone he can trust. That, above all else, is something that is crucial to him.
3. What sort of relationship does your character need? Is it different from what they want?
He needs someone who can deal with his prickly personality, and help him through some of his nonsense, without being too much of his therapist. Someone who might actually need his help too, even if he's not always that good at offering it. Someone he can grow alongside together, as opposed to someone serving all of his interests.
They probably do need to have a fairly high threshold for bullshit though.
4. Please list two to three physical features your character finds attractive.
Kind/gentle eyes, bright smiles, and rough/calloused hands that show they haven't sat around decoratively in a fancy rich person house the way he has.
5. Please list two to three physical features your character finds unattractive.
I don't think he has much in particularly he has strong objections to as far as appearance is concerned. Mean faces?
6. Please list two to three personality traits/features your character finds attractive.
Kindness/gentleness is the biggest one. He loves a soft heart in other people. He also likes an open friendliness that he doesn't feel like he has himself. Earnestness is also a very valued trait in a partner.
7. Please list two to three personality traits/features your character finds unattractive.
Snobbery/Arrogance, a lack of empathy, constant lying.
8. When showing affection, what is your character's love language?
Gifts. He's actually fairly good at giving gifts. He's got a lot of money, so why not use it this way?
9. When they receive affection, what is your character's love language?
He would prefer quality time over all else, and perhaps some physical touch, though he himself is going to be absolutely dogshit at initiating that.
10. Do they pursue, or would they prefer to be the pursued in a relationship?
He thinks he's rather be the pursuer, however he will stand there uselessly until someone pursues him instead.
11. Why hasn't your character found love yet?
He's a mess who has had a pretty messed up childhood that caused him to create walls in order to guard himself from being hurt again, has had very few people important to him in his life, and has lost most of them (his parents, his first close friend) in pretty tragic ways that has made it harder for him to be open to people even when they are kind to him.
12. What are you, as a player, hoping for in a match?
I'm always just here for a good time. I'm not sure if he'll really find a perfect match, especially since I'm putting sexuality restrictions on my character this time, but I think he could find some really cute friends, and that would also be great.
13. Are you open to being matched with someone purely with intent for drama?
I am absolutely down for that.
14. What are some of your favorite tropes/dynamics in shipping?
I always start this with opposites attract, and that's still true. That's extra true for Ebenholz who canonically prefers people not like himself in personality. I also think two hurt people finding comfort in each other would be cute in this case, and always enjoy couples that bicker.
15. And finally: top or bottom?
Bottom.... He is the biggest bottom I play. Like a very fussy and particular bottom, but still.
